Meditation & the Joy of Service

"Service is the keynote of friendship." -Paramhansa Yogananda

Meditation practice is at it's heart deeply practical. Who wouldn't want to feel more relaxed physically, cooler under pressure, a clearer mind, and more intuitive in one's own heart-center?  Described by the yoga master Yogananda as a "portable paradise," meditation practice has been called the "ultimate problem solver" for facing challenges in the "cold light of day." In this meeting, we'll explore how combining a spirit of service to others with a regular meditation can lead to a growing sense of freedom and balance in achieving spiritual and material balance and fulfillment. It amazing how with just a little willingness and practice, one can feel the timeless benefits of meditation.

All spiritual affiliations of none are welcome and no experience is required! This meetup is part of a series of ongoing weekly meditation group meetings at this location. We are a non-profit group but donations are always welcome! (suggested donation of 5-10 dollars but nobody turned away for lack of funds) If you would like to volunteer in any way, i.e: bringing healthy snacks, help set of clean up, that would be wonderful!
