Announcing a new Meetup for The Ananda Irvine-Lake Forest Meditation Meetup Group!
What: Yogananda Live Event with Swami Kriyananda and Neale Donald Walsch
When: Sunday, August 22, 2010 6:00 PM
2580 E Cahuenga Blvd
Los Angeles, CA 90068
This evening features an inspirational talk by Swami Kriyananda, who will share the spiritual mission and practical teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda, emphasizing their supreme relevance to modern times. You’ll also hear rare stories and personal recollections from Kriyananda’s life with Yogananda. Kriyananda is one of the last living direct disciples of the renowned spiritual master, Paramhansa Yogananda, author of the best-selling spiritual classic Autobiography of a Yogi.
Yogananda brought Indian philosophy, yoga practice, and meditation to the United States in 1920—launching a spiritual revolution still unfolding today. He transforms the lives of millions of people by leading us from the age of materialism into the New Age of energy; by shedding religious dogma and emphasizing spiritual unity; and by resolving outward conflicts—whether between individuals or nations--through inner peace. Discover how these highest and deepest teachings and practices guarantee you success and benefits on every level—material, physical, mental, and spiritual.
Kriyananda will be introduced by Neale Donald Walsch, author of the best-selling book Conversations with God. Live music, food, books, information, and fun will be offered on the lovely, outdoor grounds of the Ford prior to the performance.
