In my vocal study I've learned a number of art songs. I love the way the composer sets poetry to music and am challenged how to perform them. I look at this group as a great way to learn.
German Lieder is new to me. The songs I've learned and love are by Ralph Vaughn Williams and Gabriel Faure. Also the 12 Poems of Dickenson by Copland and Elizabethan Songs by Argento.
I have some Graphic Design skills which might be useful. I also enjoy researching songs and finding audio references. I contribute these skills to my choruses.

I'm an independant student of Sight Singing and Vocal technique. My vocal teachers are Jenn Smolos and John Kolody. I sing soprano in several choruses. My visual arts background relishes this new art form.
The events are well organized and inspiring. The ASPSNY is a supportive environment for learning about art song. A big thanks to the organizers!!
