As we end our Summer of Song, ASPS would like to thank everyone who participated, whether you sang with us, volunteered or attended a class! Our last program with Margaret Lattimore was a success! She worked with a variety of singers and spoke from her heart about her own career's highs and lows. Keep visiting our website and facebook page for more information about our fall schedule and our next Master Class project, Spring Into Song (2014).
We are also closing out this summer with our second September Art Song Concert! ASPS will present an American Song Recital in Tribute to September 11 on September 7 at 1 pm at Opera America. This free concert is open to the public but space is limited to please reserve seating in advance. ASPS has gone GREEN so get your program for the Recital now by clicking HERE! Additional information can be obtained by contacting Blair Boone at [address removed] Also in September, ASPS's own Melissa Gerstein, will present an afternoon concert titled, "I happen to like New York." The concert is on September 15 and will take place at Opera America's Recital Hall. The concert is free, however, donations will be collected towards Education Through Music, an organization that partners with inner-city schools to provide music as a core subject for all children.
Be sure to check back with us in mid-September when we have our brand new[masked] calendar of events and MasterClasses!
