Learn how to make Patterns in this hands-on Intensive Flat Patternmaking Course. Students will learn how to Draft their own Patterns enabling them to Create their own Designs & Samples. Students learn how to measure our Standard Industrial Mannequins, which represent a composite figure of the human torso as well as measuring themselves for Pattern Drafting & Draping. Students will develop Basic Slopers/Blocks, which is the foundation for Flat Patternmaking & becomes the basis for developing various patterns, such as dresses, skirts, tops, tunics, jackets, tank tops, etc developed further in Creative Patternmaking Design Level 11. [The list is endless]. Students will develop a Eight-piece Pattern Set & learn the principles of Dart manipulation, Slash-Spread & Pivot methods that can be applied as a base for generating Design Patterns. This Eight-piece Pattern Set forms the Basic Dress.
