This course teaches you the basics of the Ayurveda system of healthcare and how to apply them to cooking.

- See the relationship between the foods we eat and the state of our mind and much more!
This session will contain theory, cooking demonstrations, followed by questions and answers. The cooking demonstrations will cover 5-6 different healthy vegetarian dishes. The theory sessions will include Introduction to Ayurveda, the qualities of the five elements, three Doshas and the Gunas.
Ayurvedic tea, meal and workbook for each participant are included.
About the Instructors:
Barbara Manley R.N. brings years of experience from Western medicine, as well as the integrative medical approach. She will be teaching the principles of Ayurveda, 5000 year old tradition of Holistic Medicine from India.
Jagu Patel is a Subway restaurant owner and a passionate cook. She will be demonstrating the preparation of ayurvedic meals.
Viral Desai has a doctorate in Physical Therapy and is an ardent cook. She will be demonstrating the preparation of Ayurvedic meals.
