An interactive, community playshop of artistic expression, exploring the connections between improvised music and visual art - painting sound and sounding visual images. A day of fun, relaxation and creativity - sing, vocalise, make music with easy-to-play instruments, draw, paint and make art work.

Come and explore the art of music … and the music of art

 

·         Learn new skills, build your confidence, meet other artists, inspire and encourage each other in both areas of creative expression

·         Create intuitive, spontaneous sound, rhythm, melody and improvised music using our voices and easy-to-play instruments

·         allow the music that we create to inspire drawing, painting and other art techniques, exploring tone, colour, texture, rhythm, lines & shades

·         explore different starting points then travel on creative journeys

·         create finished artwork (and possibly recordings) to take home

 

You don’t need to call yourself a singer, musician, artist or painter to enjoy this workshop. It’s open to anyone, including complete beginners. Just be willing to discover and explore your natural musicianship and artistic creativity ! Anyone can do it and you can’tget it wrong !
