A wonderful way to enjoy Spring and explore one of Fredericksburg's hidden treasures.
Come for the day and explore Shinrin-Yoku or "taking in the forest atmosphere," This is a wonderfully enjoyable and healthy thing to do for yourself. Studied for 30 years in Japan, it is one of the foundations of their preventive health care. It is shown to reduce cortisol, high blood pressure, tension and depression.
Here is a great article about it. http://www.outsideonline.com/fitness/wellness/Take-Two-Hours-of-Pine-Forest-and-Call-Me-in-the-Morning.html
It is one of my main features at the Earthwalk Retreat and this is an ideal place to practice. Come enjoy the Peace of the Forest and see how restorative it is.
I will teach you a way to attune to the forest and deepen your direct perception and presence to the beauty that is here. Like meditation the mind is stilled and we discover a new and nurturing realm.
Snacks included. Wear good shoes for rocks and water. Tennis shoes are good but some running shoes are not. Soft rubber soles are best. Hiking boots can do but sometimes it is nice just to get your feet wet. River shoes or all terrain sandals work. Please call and confirm you will be coming. My number is[masked] 5540. Thanks.
$20, but exhanges and other arrangements can be made.
