Hi Ladies:)

Our next book held will be hosted by one of our fav members, Pamela. We will be getting together in her home in Tucker (address will be sent separately) to read, Me Before You, by Jojo Moyes. While this book may sound like a romantic novel, we hear it has a few twists and turns-we were also told to not be fooled by the cover.lol.

Since this is a feel good type of book, Brie suggested that we bring feel good food...whatever food makes you feel good:) For example, if fried chicken or apple pie makes you feel good, bring it!!

Here is a synopsis from amazon.com:

They had nothing in common until love gave them everything to lose

Louisa Clark is an ordinary girl living an exceedingly ordinary life—steady boyfriend, close family—who has never been farther afield than their tiny village. She takes a badly needed job working for ex–Master of the Universe Will Traynor, who is wheelchair bound after an accident. Will has always lived a huge life—big deals, extreme sports, worldwide travel—and now he’s pretty sure he cannot live the way he is.

Will is acerbic, moody, bossy—but Lou refuses to treat him with kid gloves, and soon his happiness means more to her than she expected. When she learns that Will has shocking plans of his own, she sets out to show him that life is still worth living.

A Love Story for this generation, Me Before You brings to life two people who couldn’t have less in common—a heartbreakingly romantic novel that asks, What do you do when making the person you love happy also means breaking your own heart?

Anytime I think of feel good food, I think ice cream, so I think I'll bring vanilla ice cream and cake. Looking forward to discussing this book, so far it's great!

I just finished the book. So good! I think I'm going to bring hummus and pita. Not a classic comfort food, but still yummy!

Food that always makes me feel good is apple pie:) So I'll be bringing apple pie and fried chicken (if nobody else brings a chicken dish). See you all Sunday!

Thank you Pamela for hosting. I don't watch the oscars, so I agree with Natasha. But I will do whatever everyone else decides.

Ill go with majority rule with this one, but I'd prefer to either change it to 4/430 or keep it the same because many signed up knowing the time and date.

Ladies, the Feb book club I'm hosting falls on the same Saturday as the Oscars. The start time for the show is 7pm. I am happy to leave the start time of this Meetup for 5pm, but I'd be happy to push up the time to 3:30pm, or so, for those of you who might want to make it home in time to see the awards. What's your opinion?
