Women's Book Club!!

  • April 21, 2013 · 5:00 PM

This month's book club will be held at one of our many Book Queen's homes, Erin.  Erin has invited the lovely ladies of YCC to crash her home with laughter, eating, and maybe a little discussion of the book.lol.  The book of the will be, Mirror Image by Sandra Brown. I'm excited about this book because it reminds me of one of my fav shows, Drop Dead Diva.lol. Since we just did a Texas theme for the book club, let's do a different theme.  Not only is Sandra Brown from NY, but her book is a NY Times Best Seller.  While searching the NY Times, I noticed that they have tons of recipes:)  I guess you can tell where I'm going with this?  Let's make sure to bring food or drink items from the NY Times!! To get an idea, please visit: http://topics.nytimes.com/topics/reference/timestopics/subjects/r/recipes/index.html

Synopsis of Mirror Image (Taken from Barnes and Noble):

The crash of a Dallas-bound jet wasn't just a tragedy to TV reporter Avery Daniels; it was an act of fate that handed her a golden opportunity to further her career. Mistaken for a glamorous, selfish woman named Carole Rutledge, the badly injured Avery would find that plastic surgery had given her Carole's face, the famous senatorial candidate Tate Rutledge for a husband, and a powerful Texas dynasty for in-laws. And as she lay helpless in the hospital, she would make a shattering discovery: Someone close to Tate planned to assassinate him. Now, to save Tate's life, Avery must live another woman's life — and risk her own...

After the crash of a Dallas-bound jet, Avery Daniels finds that plastic surgery has given her the face--and the identity--of Carole Rutledge, wife of famous senatorial candidate Tate Rutledge. As Avery falls in love with Tate, she is startled to discover that someone plans to assassinate him. In order to save the life of the man she loves, Avery resolves to live Carole's life--and risk her own.
