I am so happy to announce this long awaited book club:) One of our very sweet members has taken the big step into the publishing world and has written a book!! Can you say AWESOME!!!

He and his ever so sweet wife Sasha, have asked our members to participate in sort of a focus group reading.  This is definitely different than any other book club we have participated in.  We will be receiving this book through email in a pdf file (good opportunity to use your nooks, ipads, kindles, etc).  He is asking that we read this book and offer our HONEST opinions!! This will help him with any last minute or significant changes that are needed before he rushes it off to the publishers. This book club will be held in Smyrna at Sasha and Kevin's house. Kevin will not be present for the majority of our book club, however, he will come towards the end to receive any questions or comments about the book!! Woohoo!! We actually get to talk to the author of one of our books:)

Let's help one of our own follow their inspirational dream! Thank you Kevin and Sasha for allowing us to be apart of this amazing opportunity.

Synopsis:

Sleepyhead tells the story of how Ben Strickland, a gifted and driven neurologist, creates the invention of a lifetime with the help of his best friend and colleagues. His invention is a gas that prevents anyone who inhales it from sleeping without having to suffer from the effects of sleep deprivation. But when the gas is quickly green-lighted to be tested on human subjects, things spin wildly – and violently – out of control. This novel is Ben’s journal and he uses it as an opportunity to explain the events that led him to where is now, as well as his day-to-day life as a fugitive. Sleepyhead is ultimately a cautionary tale that warns of the moment when moral and ethical responsibility succumbs to the weight of scientific curiosity. It is a tale of degradation, judgment and penance. And it is a tale where Ben, in the end, no longer knows who or what he is running from.

Overview:

Book: Sleepyhead (Soon as you rsvp, I will send you the book via email)

Where: It will be held in Smyrna, and address will be sent via email one week prior

Food/Drink item: Philadelphia inspired food items (ex: philly cheesesteak, pretzels)

Theme: Every now and then our book club likes to shake things up. So one of the ladies suggested that we make it a PJ theme since the book is called Sleepyhead meaning just come in your pjs.lol.  You do not have to come in your pjs if you do not want to, it's just for satire!!!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
