WONDERLAND - May 17 and 18th
From Caló Theatre Company
the innovative flamenco performance team that brought you "Raíces: A Flamenco Journey," "Once Upon a Christmas in Olelucía,"and "Sueños Andaluces," comes "Wonderland!" - The story of Alice and her trip through the looking glass into a fantastical world of flamenco and duende! When Alice is beckoned by the Cheshire Cat to leave her boring day to day life and walk through a mirror, she enters a whole new world, and her life definitely gets "curious and curiouser."
She grows and shrinks in size and meets all manner of crazy characters --talking mice and rabbits, a Mad Hatter who drinks tea to the rhythm of flamenco Bulerías, Royal flower-painting Playing Cards, a wise Caterpillar, and a King who fears nothing . . . except his wife . . . the Red Queen! But things get even crazier when the Knave of Hearts tries to steal some of the Red Queen's treasured tarts, leading to a climactic trial that could end with both the Knave and Alice losing their heads! Will it be "Off with their heads!" or will Alice find a way to dance her way through this curious land of flamenco and find her way home? The only way to find out is by going down the rabbit hole with us and joining us in WONDERLAND!
