South Austin C/C++ "Coffee-and-Career-Talk": Jobs @ Blizzard Entertainment

  • Apr 11, 2013 · 7:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

This month we will be speaking with engineers from Blizzard Entertainment. Unless you never play video games, ever...you know they are one of the original and successful gaming companies in the MMORPG space. Their titles include World of Warcraft, Diablo, and Starcraft (to name a few).

Blizzard is growing their Austin presence, and are actively hiring a number of C++ Engineers in the process. Right now they are looking for one Lead Engineer and a couple Senior Engineers to add to their team. The number of positions will be increasing over time as they continue to grow their development presence in Austin.

Note that although these are relatively senior engineering jobs which expect strong C++ skills, all members are welcome to attend--regardless of experience level. As usual, it will be an informal discussion about the tools and processes used at the company, the corporate culture, and the positions being offered.

This meetup leans a little more toward career networking than the North one. But it also does double-duty as our South Austin programmer-talk gathering, so you certainly don't have to be unemployed or underemployed to attend!

NOTE: The venue has food--as well as wine and beer--in case anyone was worried.
