Exploring the Autism Spectrum - What Every Social Worker Needs to Know

According to the Centers for Disease Control, about 1 in 88 children are diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). In light of this incidence rate, social workers will undoubtedly encounter families and individuals affected by autism. To raise awareness and provide valuable knowledge and tools for the field, the Golden Hat Foundation and the Autism Society of Greater Austin invite social work students and professionals to a special panel discussion on autism in honor of World Autism Awareness Day.
