Ellen I am so sorry we did not get a chance to meet.I was looking forward to your singing bowls. Best of luck with your move. This morning I found a wonderful short lecture on Ted Talks called "Music is Medicine, Music is Sanity" Here is the link to the group of talks called "All Kinds of Minds" the series of 8 short talks. "Music is Medicine, Music is Sanity" is talk #8 on the list, it about the power of music. I loved it and think you will too:)

Just so you all know, I am really going to miss the healing energy and supportive atmosphere of this group. I am so glad to have been a part of it for these past few years.

So sorry I didn't make it to the meeting tonight. I spent most of the day in bed and it completely disoriented my sense of time. I'm having a lot of trouble with grief, and the limbo of the divorce, paralyzingly me. I'm supposed to pick up a CD of disability papers for my attorney as husband is challenging the disability. And I'm supposed to pick up my moms ashes. I have a HUGE amount of grief over the marriage (the man I knew, the man who would have been there with me, supporting me; not the selfish ass who went out and found a girlfriend from my circle of friends while I was caring for my dying mother). There is no one to go with me. No one to hold my hand or be my support. It is excruciating, and terrifying. But in 6 months I'll have a new home, new friends ... A whole new life. I'll do my best to make the next meeting. My Mom's memorial is the 6th. If anyone had time to reach out and talk I could use the support. Send me an email and I'll send you my number. Thanks group!

My husband went to my mother's apartment this morning. He said she looked really bad. Then he texted that she was asking where I was. I went and sat with her for a while. He & the caregiver (later) got a text and started talking in low voices. It is just excruciating to be cut out and they couldn't possibly handle it in a worse way. I felt like my being 'not' the medical power of attorney was being rubbed in my face and I literally ran out of there. I think they were talking about sending her to Christopher house. He didn't even talk to me when he came home and showered, packed a bag and left. I'm assuming he is staying with my mom but I don't know and I can't get past my hurt to find out. I'm going to trying and let it all go, and breathe for a while.
