'Movie under the stars': Arranged

Literally just heard about this event on Saturday evening (8/10).

The movie will be shown at Chizuk Amuno Congregation. Taken from their website:

A touching story of two young women – an Orthodox Jew and a Muslim of Syrian origin – both teachers in a Brooklyn public school, both going through the process of “arranged marriages.”
All are welcome to join us as we enjoy a film, fresh popped corn, candy, snacks, and drinks outdoors in the courtyard.
Free of Charge • Raindate: August 22
Funded by the Stanley and Lillian Wilen Fund for Adult Jewish Education

A few additional websites about the film, including one with a link to the trailer:

Movie begins at 8 PM.

Feeling as if I'm letting Team Bookniks down, but I won't be attending. :(

I've seen this movie before - thought it was very good. Wouldn't mind seeing it again, AND popcorn and such are being provided!

I assume we bring a chair?

Good question, Liz! I'll try contacting the shul over the next day or two for an answer.

We need folks to pack meals (9:00 - 11:00), deliver meals (10:30 - 1:00), visit isolated homebound seniors (you choose the schedule), shop for homebound seniors (using our credit card - you choose the schedule. You can volunteer as frequently or infrequently as you like but you have to register ahead so we can do a criminal background check.
