The whole gamut I would say. I enjoy factual histories or historical fiction. Novels and memoirs. Some titles that come to mind are Deborah Feldman's Unorthodox: The Scandalous Rejection of my Hasidic Roots , The Girl in the Green Sweater: A Life in Holocaust's Shadow by Krystyna Chiger, A Late Divorce by A. B. Yehoshua and Shalom India Housing Society by Esther David.
To actually discuss selections read. Everyone brings a little bit of themselves to assimilate and interpret a story offered by a gifted author. In turn, I find it the ultimate socialization - sharing one's thoughts and impressions with others. All great fun! :)
Orthodox would describe my practices best.
Hi , I'm Liz Frier and I would describe myself as a voracious reader (a bona fide 'booknik'). This group sounds quite appealing and I would very much like to explore Jewish topics and authors.
Love it! :) Look forward to coming each time!
