Special Meetup Event: Discourse & Discussion on "The World Peace Diet"

A special evening of listening and discussion at the home of Don and Ginny Robertson is planned for Wednesday, August 27th, at 6:30 pm. Featured will be an audio recording of a Dr. Will Tuttle’s 77 minute discourse explaining the main ideas in his book, The World Peace Diet. Dr. Tuttle provides us with a wonderfully compelling invitation to the vegan lifestyle!

Will Tuttle, PhD, is a philosopher and educator who has taught college level courses in mythology, philosophy, comparative religion, and creativity. He’s also an acclaimed pianist, and composer, and a former Zen Buddhist monk.

In this compelling reflection, Dr. Tuttle gently illumines the keys to inner peace and harmony by showing that the mentality required by our food choices--and our mistreatment of animals for food--is a powerful force in our world. In fact, Tuttle sees that mindset, which numbs our sensitivities and diminishes our intelligence, as the very foundation on which the whole cycle of violence toward animals, women, other races, cultures, and religions stands. The evening will include light refreshments and an intermission with discussion midway through and after the recording.

There’s no charge for the event, but feel free to drop a dollar or so in the basket or bring a vegan snack to share. The Robertson home is at 517 Talbott Avenue, near the intersection with Morris Avenue, in Lutherville, MD, 21093. There is plenty of street parking. You are welcome to just show up but please let us know you will be coming if you can.
