I was asked to sign a petition, at the
Waverly Farmers Market in Baltimore a month or two ago. It was demanding
that the Maryland government hold Purdue (chicken) accountable for
their immense damage to the Chesapeake water shed. Chicken and pig feces
are the leading cause of water pollution in the bay. I spent 15 minutes
or so talking to a few of the people circulating petition about the

I got on the groups mailing list, and
received a call from one of the women I had spoken to about this issue.
She asked me to come speak about veganism during the question and
comment section of
this community forum, unofficially, just as a concerned citizen. She
asked that I spread the word among any vegan groups that I know of, and
ask others to come speak up on the importance of a dietary shift to a
plant-only, animal free diet.
It would be lovely to see any
or all of you there. Please come spread the word, and practice, like me,
speaking to a concerned group about something that really works, and
really is changing the world.
The date is Tuesday, Nov 19, from 7-9pm. Get there early to sign up to speak.
