News: Emily’s Café and Desserts Open

Hi Meetup Member,

My wife Ginny and I enjoyed brunch at Emily's on Grand Opening day, Sunday, and thought the prices on the brunch menu were quite reasonable. The Cafe is in a charming old stone building not far from Ruscombe Mansion.

Would love to do a Meetup there, but there is only seating for 16, so it's a bit too small. But feel free to send a post to the group email list if you'd like to get together with some other members to eat there. Or perhaps we could do a Meetup there with very limited seating.

Here's a Baltimore Sun article I thought you might like to see:
[Baltimore Sun] Emily?s Caf? and Desserts is now officially open.

Located on Springarden Drive, Emily?s is Baltimore?s first vegan dessert company manufacturing with 100% wind power. ?My goal with this business is to make great tasting desserts that everyone will know and love,? says owner and founder Emily Mainquist. She adds, ?The way that I look at it is for every vegan dessert eaten that is one less dessert that has eggs and dairy in it.?

A lifelong love of baking and stalwart dedication to veganism is behind every ?cruelty-free? cookie, cake, doughnut, pizza, and pretzelrod at Emily?s. The cookies, for example, contain no animalingredients, and are sweetened with evaporated cane juice and organicBlue Agave. They?re also cholesterol-free.
