Hi Meetup Member,

Here's info on a free showing in DC of a real good film about the lives of several dedicated animal protection advocates, including Howard Lyman, the Mad Cowboy, and the founders of Animal Sanctuary. The film has done well and won several awards at festivals. It's by Tribe of Heart, the nonprofit that also produced "The Witness", which is my personal favorite film about animal protection.

Hope that you will also attend the Earthsave Baltimore veg dinner Saturday night at 6 pm: Veg Potluck & discussion, in Owings Mills, on "Nutrition & Health" with a panel of experts, including Dietitian Mark Rifkin, Naturopathic Physician Stephany Porter, nurse educator Lauren Bateman, MS, RN, CSN, and maybe a guest appearance by nutrition researcher Dr. Steve Acocella, who works closely with Dr. Joel Fuhrman. Feel free to attend just the discussion and presentation, which will go from about 7:45 ? 9:00. For details see

Hope to see you soon!

Peace, Don Robertson

It's March 27 at 12:15 PM
Carnegie Institution (Elihu Root Auditorium)
1530 P Street NW, Washington, DC

This screening will be followed by a Q&A with filmmakers Jenny Stein & James LaVeck, and film subject and former farmer Harold Brown.

There's still time to spread the word about this event! You can RSVP and invite your Facebook friends to attend here:
