Gentlemen Broncos (Great movie by the same director that did Napoleon Dynamite featuring Jemaine Clement. Critically panned and a box office failure but I love it. Watched it five times). Super 8 (Lots of fun. A childhood fantasy. Love Elle Fanning). Breaking Bad (Just the best show ever). Skinny Legs and All by Tom Robbins (I loved Still Life With Woodpecker and Even Cowgirls Get The Blues when I read them 30 years ago but I am just now getting to the rest of Robbins' books--all gems). The Daily Show and The Colbert Report (Can't choose between them; watch them both every night).
I used to host a figure drawing group for a few years that spawned a lot of friendships and creativity, including a musical performance group that took over my life and left me no time to continue running the group. But I miss having it and now want to create another group that includes musicians and casual gamers as well as artists. I want it to be a very safe and non-judgmental place where rank beginner artists and musicians can feel totally comfortable to express themselves alongside accomplished artists and musicians of all levels and abilities. I think it will be fun.
I am into music, art, games, improv comedy and meeting new people. I design data warehouses for a living. I am happily married with two grown children. I do not eat anything that has feet.
I continue to be excited about the group and am encouraged to keep it going. A night of figure drawing, making music, playing games, drinking wine, and eating fancy cheese with a nice variety of people in a homey setting for only 10 bucks!?!?!...it's a wonderful thing!
