Not only an excellent speaker and communicator-who had a natural and relaxed rapport with his audience; but also an excellent and enjoyable bunch of Bath and Bristol Everything Meetup companions, too. Who could ask for more!?

Hoping to attend but need to check out how far it is from civilisation (i.e. Bristol Temple Meads)...

    • Mia

No 8 or 9 bus from Templemeads to the top of Park St or a 30 min stroll (uphill at the end!)

I can't make this now as work has intervened. I do have two tickets for the event if someone wants them...face value - £8 each, and I'll post them.

By the way, the location (Chemistry Lecture Theatre) isn't on Woodland Rd, and not near the spot on the map. It's off Cantock's Close, which is off Woodland near its junction with Park Row, about 300m south of the mark on the map for this talk.

I've bought my ticket, will sit on my own if I can't join the group.

Any tickets still available? Have just spotted this!

Yes,Pete the Ranulph Fiennes lecture IS one of my already secured Ten Wilderness Lecture ticket series; and if your 'Seems like a plan to me...'comment signals you're amenable to my earlier suggestion re all of us meeting up on the night?, I do hope you'll forgive my repeating my earlier advice that we should arrange to be in the foyer outside the lecture theatre between 6.30 and 7pm,ready to go in the moment we're allowed to, since these events ARE very popular and it's the best way of us all being able to sit in the same row!

Hi, I'm so sorry but I cannot make this event. Hope you have a good evening...

Pete,I've already booked for this so it's part of the Ten Wilderness lectures I've booked for anyway between now and the end of March.so,I suggest (from someone who has been to many of these things) that (as these events are usually well patronised),that we go into the lecture theatre the minute it opens at 7pm.,thus best ensuring that we can all sit together, which is what I'd prefer; chatting to other like-minded members of the group and getting to know everyone, if that's O.K with you?
