Spring Love Food Festival and Arnos Vale Walk.

• Stuart will be walking from  Temple Meads Station to the Festival via the Avon walkway.  This is about a mile. If  anyone cares to join him; meet outside the Station entrance at 10:30.

With all the Horrible rain & heavy winds that we have lately, we all need something to look forward to with the first part of Spring has begun with the First Love Food Festival of the year.

Click on this Link for more info about Love Food Festival.

Lots to look at with plenty for lunch to choose from.

When we have all looked around the Market & craft stalls we will meet in the cafe  again in Bocabar afterwards about an hour & a half later at 12.30.

Then depending on the group decision on where we want to eat & also what food? (so many places or foods to choose from) for lunch?

Later if the weather is being nice to us and is dry, we could go for an optional walk  across the road in Arno's Vale Cemetery which is a lovely Nature Reserve of Wildlife.

Arno's Vale Cemetery is a place of tranquillity, a 45 acre haven of peace and quiet in an otherwise busy part of a bustling city. Click on this Link for more information for Arno's Vale Cemetery & where the wildlife thrive.

It's a day that ticks all the boxes so I look forward to seeing you all there.

Cheers

Great Food, Great company once Stuart managed to climb his way out of bed due to his hour delay of getting times mixed up. I think he made up for his loss?, with a lovely walk around Arnos Vale Cemetery then back at the cafe for coffee's & food. It turned out to be a nice day out no doubt for everyone?

Many thanks Steve we enjoyed the food festival and the walk afterwards. Sorry I didn't call you as my phone is having problems charging as I charged it last night with a full battery? I think it must be a loose connection as the cord entering the phone works wiggly & becomes loose so I guess it somehow has to be at an odd angle to charge?? Very annoying! Grrr? Most of time I don't have problem?

Having read the details again I see that Arnos Vale is only an optional extra (have no interest in food festival but hope you enjoy it) - would love to meet you for lunch if cemetery walkies ate happening though.

    Out of curiosity: Late announcement:
    * Is anyone coming from North Bristol via car to get there straight to Food Festival for meeting meeting me at 11:00 without the 10:30 start time walking from Temple Meads with Stuart, that could swing by to pick me up on way, as I have to get 2 buses to get to Paint Works?

Oh dear, feel like a rat deserting the sinking ship - have changed to a No as have opportunity to see a friend I dont see very often, but want to go to LoveFood, so hope to get along later in the day or to a future event

Don't Worry John I have pencil marked all the foodie events as I know how very popular they are and it's a bonus so I can go to. I will try if I can and do a walk afterwards so you all can excuse the pun '' Can't have your cake and eat it too'' Does anyone know what that expression means? The phrase goes back to it's earliest meaning from Thomas Cromwell 1538. It can be used to say that one cannot or should not have or want more than one deserves or can handle, or that one cannot or should not try to have two incompatible things. The proverb's meaning is similar to the phrases "you can't have it both ways" and "you can't have the best of both worlds."

You could always bring them too Louise to a nice day out with treats in the food festival and nice lunch. IT would be enjoyable for the whole family or any of your families. I can't bring mine as they are in New Zealand, so why not bring yours instead after all more friends and families more the merrier...... :)
