Upton Cheyney Chilli and Cider Festival

Upton Cheyney Chilli and Cider festival is based on a Chilli Farm which is well established. Not too far, maybe a few miles from the Bitton railway cycle track, so can be accessed by bike for those of you who are keen cyclists. Local ciders, delicious local foods and a BBQ, Chilli eating competition and take a tour of the chilli farm. 6 pounds a ticket, you will need to book your own: www.uptonchilli.co.uk. Unfortunately the evening event has sold out. :-( but there is a pre-free event 7pm to 11pm the evening before if you fancy it. Drinks in the Barn.

This is also listed as a cycling event in Sociable Cycling Group (Bristol) see: http://www.meetup.com/bristolcyclists/events/201868582

Fortunately I met up with the Cycling Meet up group and had a great time, but not one person showed up and I was sat on my own for an hour!!!! Those that cycled and were on both sites fair enough but others need to change RSVP to no in future!

Hi All. I intend to cycle and be at Chilli Festival at 11am. Will try and get a table for us, there are usually ones by the bar. If not I will be lingering by the tables and once we have all assembled we can then have a look around. The cycling group won't arrive until 12.30 but will be in contact with them so can mingle with them when they arrive. My mobile no is

I will be cycling from Midford through the two tunnels then hopefully pick up the railway cycle track.
    cycling + cider = exercise + intoxication = bliss!
hopefully some good music there. Pity about the evening tickets - I wonder if there is any way of getting in now, or anything partyish going on locally afterwards? The BBQ meetup at saltford marina earlier this summer was really great fun with a band on all day and a disco at night.

Hi Scott, I absolutely agree, but I have tried everything, to no avail. Tickets always go quickly. Next year I will be more organised. There is a meet up at 8pm in Bath, so depending on plans I may cycle to Bath after Chilli festival, hang out for a bit, get some tea and then go to that, but depends on what everyone else is doing or wants to do. xxx

Jon Eldridge will be cycling, he has put this on the Bristol and Bath Cycling group too. Think there may be a few others cycling too. Send him a message. Lou xxx
