Story Friday

Story Fridays are story events held on – wait for it – Fridays every other month. Come and listen to six writer-performers reading freshly-minted stories inspired by a theme. There will be live music, wine will flow and you might see an occasional crisp.

For the next Story Friday the details are:

Friday 16th November. Doors open 7.30. Stories start at 8pm.

Admission £3.00.

thanks all for making it last night. Here's a note from Clare (not our Claire) who organises the event: I just wanted to send a quick thank you to you and all at Meeting Up for coming to Story Fridays last night. You made a big contribution to our audience, and I'm very grateful. I meant to say thank you at the end last night, but got caught up in the melee and didn't manage to reach you. I do hope you and your group had an enjoyable evening - and I hope to see you at our next Story Friday on 25th January, at Burdall's Yard.

    All the best
    Clare

hi All. I suggest we gather as close as pos to the bar from 7.30 as it doesn't look like there will be reservable seating. At least we can get a drink while waiting for others to turn up! Just in case I'll send email my mobile no. to everyone

Hi Paul, it's a different venue and format this time so not sure, last time it finished around 10pm. Hope that helps

Here's some more info from the organiser: We are thinking of doing the event in a sligthly different way this time - as a kind of promenade around the museum with different stories in different places, so the audience will be in lots of different locations during the evening. There won't be quite the same table arrangement as there were last time, so there won't really be seats to reserve.... I hope that's OK.... I think it should make the evening quite dynamic and interesting! However, if we do have a few tables near the bar, we'll reserve some seats for you all. We will indeed have a bar, in the same way as last time - red and white wine, beer, soft drinks.

Hi Kevin, thanks for posting this. I won't be coming this time but please note that it's at the Museum of Bath at Works, not at the Curfew now. Also, it starts at 8pm, doors open 7.30. You can contact Clare the organiser directly if you want: [masked]

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
