  • This location is shown only to members

Nick Zalabak (http://www.linkedin.com/in/nickzalabak) will present to us this evening...

Title: "Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue."

Nick is releasing an open source project called "bluecollar". The aim of "bluecollar" is to provide a robust distributed background workers solution written in Clojure backed by a reliable queue in Redis. The discussion will be an overview of it's design, usage, and a deep dive into the code.

Thanks to everyone who was able to make it. I hope the presentation, demo and code review of bluecollar was interesting, it certainly was helpful for me. We had a lot of RSVPs that unfortunately didn't make it and then ended up with an excess of food and beverages. I think the hosts providing food and beverages for our meetup appreciate a semi-accurate head count, so if you can't make it please try to update your RSVP.

Mountain View is doable, but San Mateo is just a bit too far. Do any meetups happen farther south?

Mountain View I can make work. San Mateo's a bit far. I wish I could make it.
