The Berlin Semantic Web Meetup

The Meetup will start at 16:00 following a scientific infoday (please register separately here) of the projects Corporate Semantic Web and BIZYCLE. At the beginning Tassilo Pellegrini and Adrian Paschke will give an impulse talk on the results of the Web Awareness Barometer 2008. After that we registered space for "One Minute - One Slide" lightning talks which should teaser certain topics the Meetup guests should discuss. If you are interested in giving a talk, feel free to reserve a slot by sending a message containing your topic to Markus Luczak-Rösch.

@Leo: True, linked data is "a more comprehensible" discipline of the semantic web.

Martin WaissVielen Dank an das MeetUp-Team und FU Berlin mit ZIB für die Organisation! Der Infoday-Teil am Vormittag mit der aktuellen Entwicklung in der realen Wirtschaft im Rahmen von BIZYCLE und Plug&Play Your Business war sehr gut und sehr informativ, der zweite Teil (das eigentliche MeetUp am Nachmittag) war eher dürftig, vor allem das System "One-Slide-Per
-Minute" hat m.E.n. überhaupt nicht funktioniert, war sehr chaotisch und informationsmäßig ziemlich dürftig.
Der eigentliche Sinn des Nachmittags lag vielmehr im persönlichen Kontakteknüpfen - was ich zwar begrüße - wäre aber vielmehr an einer breiteren Diskussion zu den aktuellen Innovationen auf diesem Gebiet interessiert gewesen, als nur an einer schnellen Runde von nichtssagenden Slides und chaotischen "Das ist meine Webseite"-Vorstellungen.

rehabThe meetup was well organized, professional but not in a strict mood but rather in a relax atmosphere that helps ppl to talk and share their ideas. I would have preferred the meeting to be in English so more non-german speakers could follow up and contribute in the discussion but it is a personal opinion.
