Preview: Confessions of a Semantic Web evangelist - a presentation by Steve Hamby

Hi everyone,

as most of you already know I'm still working on a backlog of
presentations we have had over the last couple years at the Lotico
Semantic Web, but I have good news I was able to finish this one now.
In May 2010 Steve Hamby from Orbis gave his Semantic Web for Java
presentation in New York. It has a technology focus for Java
practitioners but gives to a certain extend an interesting business
review and personal account of the evolution of the commercial
Semantic Web over the last 8 years or so from Steve's angle. The
working title is "Confessions of a Semantic Web evangelist"...

This is an early preview and comes with talking slides and example
code. I appreciate your feedback on the lotico list or on the vimeo
video comment box. In particular I'd like to know if this type of
introductory session helps to embrace a business focused and more
mainstream audience.

If you would like to participate more actively in the community online
conversation in addition to attending our local events please feel
free to join the lotico mailing list here:
