Our Mission: We support bicyclists and create healthy bicycle-friendly communities through activities, advocacy, and education.

The Bicycle Tree's Meetup page allows us to connect with members for upcoming classes and events.

General Information

The Bicycle Tree is a community bicycle education center offering classes, workshops, and programs for bicyclists. We are located at 811 N. Main St., Santa Ana, CA 92701.

Maintenance Workshops: We hold maintenance workshops where participants can learn to repair and maintain their bicycles using a full selection of tools and equipment while receiving the assistance of mechanics. The suggested price for this service is $7 per hour, any parts or materials used cost extra.

We currently hold maintenance workshops during these times:

Wednesday - 4:00 pm - 9:30 pm
Thursday - 4:00 pm - 9:30 pm
Saturday - 11:00 am - 5:00 pm
Sunday - 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Classes: We hold classes on Tuesday evenings. Please check our class schedule on our calendar at http://www.thebicycletree.org/calendar

Wrench and Ride: We offer an eight-week program in which participants ages 12-18 learn about bicycle maintenance, traffic safety, and other essential bike information. During the program, participants choose a bicycle from our selection of donated used bicycles, which they then refurbish. After learning bike safety basics, we go for a group ride. At the conclusion of the course, each participant is then able to take their bike home along with a lock, lights, and a helmet. The program fee is $40. Please contact us at info@thebicycletree.org for current information about this program and upcoming enrollment.

Wheels of Possibility: The Bicycle Tree refurbishes donated used bicycles and gives them to area shelters serving low-income individuals, along with a lock, lights, and a helmet. Please contact us at info@thebicycletree.org to find out how you can help.

Bike rides: We hold community bike rides. Check our calendar at http://www.thebicycletree.org/calendar for upcoming rides.

Sales: We sell used bikes and used and new parts and materials. Proceeds from these sales go to fund our educational programs.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
