Welcome, Washington African-American Lit Fans!

The Black Readers, Authors, and Writers Network (BRAWN) is here to create and bring back the joy of reading books for blacks about blacks written by blacks to remind us of our struggle, hardships, joys and pains and of lives lived in the past and of a future yet to come.

We will together select books that make us ask why didn't we think of that before and I could have done that and ohhh no he didn't? A word is a word but a few words woven together with punctuations marks and content is a world we can all explore together.

Will you join me in dissecting not just a book but also the author and put reasons why this book was so good ? Which character step up and made you feel what you feel ? While we are at it, why not explore the ideal of your words and your life one day be formulated, printed and squeeze into to slabs of wood and then Titled a book. Why Not?

Possibilities are endless, will you leave and wonder what happened or will you stay and read on?
