Celebrity Charity football match

Africa V Caribbean fun Charity football game.

The Jason Roberts Foundation (JRF) and Sodje Sports Foundation (SSF) are pleased to announce the launch of “Friends of Africa v Friends of Caribbean” Charity football match.

The Giants of Africa and Pirates of the Caribbean, Family Fun Day at Brentford football club will take place on Bank Holiday Monday 27th May 2013.

The Main Event: This epic sporting event will be kicking off at Brentford Football stadium and will be broadcast by major television and radio stations including BBC sport and Sky Sports. Two star-studded squads of footballing legends and high-profile celebrities from the Caribbean, Africa and England will compete in an electrifying football match.  Some of the proceeds raised will go to the Damilola Taylor Trust, Daniel De-Gale African Caribbean Leukaemia Trust, Stephen Lawrence Trust and Brentford Football Club’s chosen charity. Football may be “the beautiful game” but there can only be one winner. As Bill Shankly, former Liverpool manager famously said, “If you are first you are first. If you are second you are nothing”. So after decades of debates in homes, pubs, clubs, schools and barbers shops this monumental game will finally decide who really is the best. Will it be the Caribbean or Africa who come out the Kings in this Game of Thrones? And which fans from these sparring teams can make the most noise? An array of celebrities, footballing heroes and some of the UK’s most famous faces will battle it out to win the Friends of Africa Vs Friends of Caribbean trophy. Jason Roberts will lead out the Caribbean team and Efetobore Sodje will lead the African team - the teams will be managed by legendary Nigerian Striker Segun Odegbami, TV personality and ex Ghana international Andy Ansah and Ex Bolton ace Fabrice Muamba, whilst the Caribbean team will be managed by England and Arsenal legend Ian Wright, and Ex Chelsea player Eddie Newton.

    Hi all,

Tickets purchased in Braemar Road Stand, Block D. Apparently seating will be unrederved within an individual block, though I am not sure if movement will be allowed between different blocks or stands. Early arrival should guarantee a good theory.
