Kimathi Donkor, When shall we 3? (Scenes from the life of Njinga Mbandi), 2010, oil on linen, 160 x 105 cm.


Iniva presents Queens of the Undead, a solo exhibition by the painter Kimathi Donkor. The exhibition includes newly commissioned paintings that celebrate heroic women from black diaspora history, along with earlier contemporary portraits. Contextual texts by David Dibosa and Carol Tulloch are displayed alongside the paintings.
