It was informative. It added a new perspective to things I am doing AND gave me ideas on other items to try.

Thank you for these upcoming presentations.

AWS is quite amazing in the range of cloud tech offerings. Sometimes it can be quite confusing. If anyone is interested-I would be willing to do an AWS primer presentation describing how to simply setup and run a website using the free tier service. Just something practical. IT would demo setup/config on a mini-EC2 instance (I could even install wordpress).

    In an extreme cliff-notes nutshell:

    - setting up a free AWS account
    - launching an EC2 instance
    - gaining SSH access to a virtual machine
    - configuring the EC2 to run hosted web files

and many other little details that aren't particularly obvious. I have no attachment to Amazon or AWS. I just have experience setting up & architecting an AWS cloud solution for an employer (using RDS/EC2/S3/EBS/etc.)

Ppart from using AWS for your employer/client - it's kindof fun using this free tier service for your own website.

    Anyone interested?

Great - Joe & Brian are presenting on their respective topics. Just working with Mark Annati on when I may be able to do this little AWS cookbook walkthrough.
