General Project Work

I was thinking we should have a meetup where we just get together and work on any projects we currently have. We could learn from each other and see what other people are doing.

I can show my homemade security system, as well as my wireless laundromat system (lets me know when laundry is done).  Bring your own projects and we'll work on them!

I will have to charge $5/pp for this event to help cover costs.  I'll have a goodie bag of parts if you decide to come!

UPDATE: Date changed, check the new time!

Hey, I am totally new to arduino. But I have been reading about arduino and raspberry pi and I am generally interested in this. I would love to learn more about this. I am not sure if I should attend this meet up or will I be too much of a burden on other members and slow them down.

By all means, come! I doubt you'll be a burden. Or, at least, no more of a burden than me.

I'm completely new to it aswell, hoping to see some cool projects and get inspired to start my own :)

Hi, I haven't come to a meeting yet, but this sounds like a lot of fun. I've been working a bit using pyserial to drive a humanoid robot I've put together, but I've been interested in doing more with the arduino on its own.

I'd like to show off Project AlaMode, which is an Arduino compatible that mates with a Raspberry Pi. (I'll incidentally show the Pi too...)

Sounds like fun. What kind of projects are folks working on? I am interested in making a clock with built in sounds to fall sleep to.

Whatever project you have! I'll show my "Security System" and "Laundry's Done" project.

Hi Russ, you should describe your house project in about three sentences. I think it's pretty cool, and I bet so would others.

I figured I would "rescue" this group, and for my first meetup I'll host it at my house and see what kind of turnout we get. If we have more than I can handle attending, I'll rent a space.

I'm would be interested but time and location would be the deciding factors.
