The DevTech research group at Tufts University, lead by Prof. Marina Umaschi Bers, is looking to hire a software/electrical engineer with experience designing and building circuit boards, developing the firmware running on the circuit board and working with sensors for simple robots. With NSF funding we are creating a second prototype of a low-cost developmentally appropriate robotic kit for 4-7 year old children, called KIWI (Kids Invent with Imagination). For more info on the project and to see videos of the current prototype, visit: http://ase.tufts....

The software/electrical engineer will work in collaboration with a mechanical engineer and industrial designer under the supervision of Prof. Bers. We are looking to hire a temporary employee who can work on this project for 7 months or an independent contractor. Salary according to experience. Please send a cover letter explaining how your skills will contribute to this project and CV to [address removed]<mailto:[address removed]>
