More information follows:

We should have abundant snow for skiing, with warmer winter temperatures. We'll be shuttled to rustic West Branch Pond Camps in the 100 Mile Wilderness where we will spend the first two nights. We will continue our backcountry ski tour through AMC's Wilderness Lodge network, stopping at Little Lyford, and then to the southern end of the network, Gorman Chairback. Spending two nights in each location will allow us the opportunity to explore the many local trails, remote and barely visited mountain ponds,  as well as enjoy each lodge in a relaxed way without having to move every day. Our group will ski an average of 8+ miles per day on easy to moderate terrain. The cost of $840 includes all meals, trail lunches, wood stove-heated cabins, gear shuttles, and happy hour snacks and refreshments. The bathroom facilities vary from rustic to the hot showers, sauna, and composting toilets at Little Lyford Pond and Gorman Chairback Camps. You can ski with a day pack and appropriate gear as all our supplies will be brought from camp to camp via snowmobile. You'll find the good company, the good food, and the exercise exactly what you've needed after a long winter. For more information call Leaders; register with registrar. This is an interchapter trip and all are invited to join! Carpooling will be facilitated. Optional nights before and/or after are available at your own arrangement.

Mike B., I already booked a Florida Vacation for the Winter, but if there is a 5th Ski tour as such, I have high intentions of attending next year. Regrets, Mike V.

    Hi Mike:

This looks wonderful. Is there a possibility for a shorter option for those of us with less time/money? I would be interested in a long weekend.

      Hi Linda,
Unfortunately not for his trip, this is set up as a weeklong trip. However you can view a wide variety of AMC ski weekends by going to www.amcboston.org. Click on the ski committee then click on to trips. Several are already scheduled. Continue to monitor the meetups and AMC website for new trips. You can also search the entire AMC club wide ski trips on the online data base at: http://activities.out... Select get outside and search chapter activities. Or you can book the lodges direct with a group of friends. There is info on the AMC website noted above. Due to the distance from Boston I'd recommend a minimum of a three day weekend.
