This is co-posted to Social Fun! & 2 other meetups also.
(If you can't make the Phoenix Landing, join us before 6:30 at the Central Sq. Library. Begin time there = 6:30 PM).
We'll meet first at 5:30 at the Phoenix Landing for a drink, a Mingle, & HALF PRICE APPETIZERS.(Strongly recommended: the &5 Fish Tacos).
Then we go to a specially reserved room at the Central Square library, 45 Pearl St. nearby (recently rennovated!) for the free "seminar" about improving your Meetup organizer skills that will save you time & effort. (Go to the Lewis Room on the 2nd floor [elevator: push "M"])
This event is FREE! & we also want to exchange ideas.
DID YOU KNOW ANY ONE can create & host a meetup? As Assistant Organizers you don't pay the bills.
We did this before (April 11) with Social Fun & we got requests to do it one more time. Your hosts are 2 professional teachers & veteran organizers who have created & hosted 200 Meetups EACH, including Intellectual Snob events, festivals, Dance Fitness events, Flash Mobs, pub crawls, Patriots football, bike & history tours, Happy Hours, music/ dance events... LEARN THE SECRETS.
At the library we'll follow the AGENDA that follows. NOTE-- there are 10 TOPICS --
1) Compelling Meetup events that draw people.
2) How we discover where the demand for events is,
3) Events & venues that are now in demand/ trendy,
4) Essential "must check in advance" info research,
5) "CAPS" & no shows,
6) Meetup description layout,
7) How to promote your Meetup with minimal effort,
8) Common mistakes to avoid
9) How to handle weird, unruly or antisocial show ups,
10) How to become an Assistant Organizer at no cost.
Parking is very close nearby at the Green St. parking garage. T is Red Line to Central Sq., 3 blocks away.
I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
