When the Vikings fell in battle, they believed, they would be swept up by Valkyries who’d carry them to Asgard. In Valhalla they’d hone their battle skills by day, and dine in Odin’s hall each night where they’d be showered with mead and food.
Local Chef Extraordinaire JJ Gonson and Cuisine en Locale are pleased to present the 4th annual ONCE in Valhalla (One Night Culinary Event), which will bring together feats of derring-dining in the form of all-the-meat-you-can-eat (and veggie sacrifices, too), as revelers mix and mingle with Aesir Gods, trolls, gnomes and Valkyries in Odin’s Mighty Hall (WORKBAR).
This savory Scandinavian saga will feature ten courses incorporating fish, oats, grains, oysters, lamb, turkey, cheese, and an array of overwintered fruits and roots. All culinary provisions are procured from New England farmers and prepared with great gusto.
Dinner is accompanied by constant entertainment, featuring live music and inspired theatrics.
Tickets for this 10-course not-to-be-missed sustainable dinner experience are $125 for adults, and $75 for children. Vegetarian options available.
Children are welcome and encouraged to join in their own festivities which are overseen by dedicated adults. More than 6 fearsome warriors in your party? Contact Cusine En Locale at [masked] for group discounts.
