"Incrementally Learning Vim" and "Vim for Prose"

Chris Toomey will talk about an incremental approach to learning vim. You'll find this talk to provide a source of ideas and inspiration on how and where to learn deep stuff about vim.

Mike Burns will talk about using vim for prose, vim for emails, vim for comments, vim for breakup letters, and everything else you need to write.

Food, beer, and a whole lot of neckbeard. See you there.

Food arrives at 7. Talks start at 7:30.

Both talks were great. Very different, and both useful to a frequent vim user.

This touched on some advanced stuff, which can be tough for a comparative newbie to follow, but the material was interesting, presented well, and both speakers were engaging. I think Chris in particular was going too fast -- pare down your talk, man, you'll be able to dig in more and won't leave us behind :) Very cool techniques on display from both speakers, I had a great time!

Great talk Chris. Looking forward to reading your updated notes in a few days. Cool tricks Mike. I especially liked learning about goobook. I also enjoyed the Indian food. Thanks Thoughtbot!
