If you'd like to spend a couple of hours of your Good Friday holiday getting a crowdfunding project off the ground, or helping others with theirs then this meetup is for you. Or just come down and enjoy Naked Coffee's Good Friday Cake promotion :)
Mike Royston from crowdfunding platform Start Some Good who spoke at the first Brightoneers crowdfunding event will be hosting a very practical workshop to help anyone interested in getting a campaign going. In particular, Mike is working with The Bevy to help them with some cool ideas to raise more money for their important project so this is a chance to help out and get involved. Or you're welcome to bring your own ideas for new campaigns.
Here's more info from Mike:
There are so many fantastic projects going on in Brighton right now let's showcase it to the world. Launching under the umbrella of the Brightoneers, hosted on StartSomeGood.com.
Anyone that's interested can come along to the workshop on Friday 29 Marchl to draft your campaign. We can help each other work through the details and share ideas. I'll be happy to assist you in progressing your project.
Topics I will address include: how to make an effective video; setting realistic targets; creating enticing rewards; composing a compelling narrative; understanding and utilising the tipping point; marketing strategy and technical trouble shooting.
This cooperative and collaborative approach could enhance everybody's campaign, we can share resources, promotion, skills and supporters.
Feel free to get a head-start before the event, you can submit your venture here: http://startsomegood.com/StartVenture
