Working with dreams in a Jungian dream group is a fine way to become acquainted with Jung’s ideas. We’ll introduce you to using methods of Jung and other post-Jungians we’ve worked with. You’ll learn how dream images can speak for themselves as you learn to listen and watch, hearing with new ears, seeing with refreshed eyes. Then we can talk about what we noticed, gradually learning the language of the archetypes.
After six meetings the group will decide whether to commit for five more dates: Nov 5, 19, 26, Dec 3, 17. If space is available we may admit new members then.
John R. Segmen, PhD, Professor Emeritus, psychology, Daemen College, also taught graduate counseling courses at Buffalo State College, and practiced psychology in Buffalo. He is an APSWNY Director and past President, and has presented to us his talk On being a Man Amongst Changing Women and Perplexed Men as well as introductory and dreamwork courses.
Arlene M. Miles, MS, was Associate Professor, Buffalo State College Learning Lab. She is an APSWNY Director, past President, past Treasurer, and past Secretary. She and Barbara Moot lead our ongoing Women’s Study Group.
