Working with dreams in a Jungian dream group is a fine way to become acquainted with Jung’s ideas. This is a continuation of the fall dream group. In week 1, we will introduce the dream discussion process to welcome and include new members into the group. In weeks 2, 3, and 4 we will explore dreams of the entire group. You’ll learn how dream images can speak for themselves as you learn to listen and watch, hearing with new ears, seeing with refreshed eyes. Surprising insights from the unconscious emerge for all participants.
After four meetings the group will decide whether to commit to continue the seminar. John R. Segmen, PhD, Professor Emeritus, psychology, Daemen College, also taught graduate counseling courses at Buffalo State College, and practiced psychology in Buffalo. He is an APSWNY Director and past President, and has presented to us his talk On being a Man Amongst Changing Women and Perplexed Men as well as introductory and dreamwork courses.
Arlene M. Miles, MS, was Associate Professor, Buffalo State College Learning Lab. She is an APSWNY Director, past President, past Treasurer, and past Secretary. She and Barbara Moot lead our ongoing Women’s Study Group.
