“Beauty” is a profound path of spiritual development. “Breath” is also a tried and true avenue to spiritual awakening and growth. This class will endeavor to present beauty and breath in an accessible way, especially in regard to music and voice. The audience will be invited to sing, play, and have some fun. No previous training is required.
Sonam Targee holds degrees in Ethnomusicology and Chinese Medicine. His Ayurvedic studies have been with Dr. Vasant Lad and Dr. Robert Svoboda and his main spiritual teachers have been His Holiness the 16th Karmapa, Swami Muktananda, Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche, and Dr. David R. Hawkins. Sonam has practiced and taught pan-Asian medicine and meditation for the past 30 years. He currently performs regularly on voice and various wind and percussion instruments. Sonam lives and works in Rochester, NY and has two teenage sons.
