Open Meeting of the AMG (Robotics and the First Robotics Challenge)

Its time again for the next open meeting of the Alamance Makers Guild!

The special topic for this month's meeting is Robotics and the First Robotics Challenge. Members of the "Aperture Science" team from Western Alamance High School will be talking about their robot, design decisions, programming, mechanics, and the details behind the First Robotics Challenge.

Check out the Western Alamance High Robotics Club here:

As always we'll be having MiMi's Pizza and Drinks Buffet Style ($5 cash for those who wish to eat dinner with us).  Please RSVP including the number of folks you'll be bringing so we'll have an accurate count for dinner!

* Dinner and Mingling
* Quick Introductions + Show-N-Tell
* First Robotics Talk + Demonstration (Approximately 45 min to 1 hour)
* Other Discussion + Planning for the 2013 Burlington Mini Maker Faire

Please Note: If you'd like to present or demonstrate something at a future meeting, or if you have a topic you'd like someone else to cover, please contact Ben Harris at [masked]

Remember: Share your news, blogs, photos, videos, or other info with us!  Send info to [masked] to have it posted to our page, twitter, sent out in notices to, mentioned in the meetings, etc.  We want to promote your projects!

Looking forward to seeing as many of you there as possible!  Remember we are growing by word of mouth.  Tell your friends and family, bring guests to meetings!  (all meetings are family friendly... bring your kids!)

    Aperture Science??? Where's the cake? Sorry I had to leave early at the last meeting, I wasn't feeling that great. I tried to make it through at least the intros but it wasn't happening (the thought of my intro didn't help). However, I have put my blog back up and I will definitely have something for show and tell at the next meeting. I'll keep adding projects to my blog this week so if you want to see something or if you want me to work on something let me know. I was thinking of demoing an Android accelerometer and a servo for show and tell but if you want I could do a complete project of something...
