Come out and support the Aperture Science Team at the First Robotics Scrimmage

Come out to Elon University on Saturday the 14th to support the Western Alamance High School First Robotics Challenge Team "Aperture Science" as well as all of the other participants from the region in their first Scrimmage event for the year!

You'll get to see First Technology Challenge Robots in action (Robotics as Spectator Sport!) for the 2013/2014 FTC Challenge... Gathering Blocks, Placing them into Containers, and Parking the Robot (possibly hanging it from a bar). Full info on the rules and the event can be found here:

For those who may be interested some of us may also go out for a late lunch at 2:00pm after the event.

The event will be held in room 212 (Upstairs and to the right) of the McCoy Commons building. McCoy Commons is off of Williamson Ave on the Elon Campus across from the arts building. Free/Visitor parking should be available in "the Oaks" parking lot that is to the left of the McCoy Commons Building if facing the front of the building (parking is first come first serve and may fill up quicker if there are other events such as a ball game going on at Elon on that weekend).

The doors open at 9:00am for setup and the event starts at 10:00am so plan to be a little earlier than 10:00am.

As always this is a family friendly event, free to the public, and everyone in the AMG is welcome to attend (new folks or anyone who can't get to a Thursday meeting, come out and meet some of us here!)

If you have one, wear your AMG Maker Faire Tee Shirts to support the AMG!

Looking forward to seeing as many of you there as possible!

Ben, thanks for the getting the word out!
I forgot to mention that we will sell drinks, food and deserts at the event. All at a very low cost in support of the team.

I'm surprised by the level of growth I've seen since becoming an organizer, it's given me more confidence in my abilities.
