Come with us on a Road Trip to the first ever Martinsville VA Mini Maker Faire! The folks of Martinsville VA (about an hour and 15 minute drive from Burlington) are having their first ever Mini Maker Faire! We learned about it from their director who came out to check out the BMMF on April 12th. Sadly we didn't have enough notice to pull off an exhibit at their event (maybe next year). For now this is a good day trip to check out what other Mini Maker Faires are doing. Their website is at: http://martinsvilleminimakerfaire.com/
Like the Burlington Mini Maker Faire, their event is free and open to the public. They do have free tickets online (to help them with planning just like ours). The event is from 10:00am to 3:00pm.
We will likely leave Burlington around 10:00am arriving there around 11:30. Have an early lunch someplace, and then check out their Mini Maker Faire. If folks are willing we could even volunteer to help them with tear down at 3:00pm and be on the road and back in Burlington by 5:00pm. Hope to have some of you come on this trip!
I'll coordinate with anyone who wants to go and we can try to set up carpooling for the event.
