Unfortunately, right where we are located in town, the skies are not quite as good as just outside of town. This week, with a waxing gibbous Moon, that's really not an issue.

Are we coming back the same night? Or we have to stay in Vulcan overnight? Thanks

It's a presentation followed by star gazing if the skies permit, then we go home. If driving a significant distance that late is unsafe, a hotel might not be a bad idea.

Generally, the roads are good, the traffic is light and the weather prospects look excellent. The only worry is if there's a deer crossing the road, but they are typicallly easy to see. That said, I have not yet had a deer issue in the over 2 dozen trips I've made.
New to the group. How dark are the skies down there? :)

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
