Nearly 100 years ago John Wanamaker proclaimed that "I know 1/2 of my advertising works, I just don't know which 1/2." With the explosion of social, mobile and customer generated media this statement is as accurate today as it's ever been. For marketers, CEOs, GMs and VPs of sales, the pace of change is accelerating faster than our pace of learning. At the same time, information and self-directed tools for learning are low cost and ubiquitous. The question then becomes how might we accelerate our learning to identify patterns that help us keep up with he pace of change? I believe that by pooling our shared experiences and knowledge, we can collectively accelerate our learning and get our business practices caught up with the pace of change. The purpose of this group is to discuss key learnings from the best business books ever written and then apply the information within our own domains.
