ONE MAN, TWO GUV'NORS @ Theatre Calgary

DATE PICKED!  Buy your own tickets near  Lissa's bunch to sit near  Lissa, Joan and me(see comments).

It’s 1963 in Brighton, and Francis Henshall is in a pinch. Hungry and out of work, he needs a bit of luck. When two separate jobs come his way, he’s got to keep his two employers apart or risk more than his meal ticket. This internationally acclaimed smash-hit is a laugh-out-loud celebration of British comedy.

It is with good reason the London press has called this “the funniest play on the planet.” Its one and only goal is pure uproarious laughter. Goofy slapstick and silliness combined with music provided by a 1960s boy-band to get you in the spirit—that’s the way to kick off a season. – Dennis One Man Two Guvnors is one of the funniest and zaniest plays I've ever read. A play I am giddy with excitement to perform in. And getting the chance to work with Dean Paul Gibson makes me even more giddy. He is a fantastic director with a deft hand for directing comedy. I can't wait to get started. – Kevin Corey

What a blast - if you like slapstick British humour (and even if you don't), you'll love this show. Very funny - and great music between sets by a mock 60's band - The Craze.

I actually have 5 season's tickets for Theatre Calgary Tuesday performances (Sept 2nd in this case), 3 tickets are spoken for, but I purchased two extra so that I could invite friends to join me. Seats 303 & 304 (Orch Ctr B). Cost is $36/ticket... if you decide on opening night and anyone is interested.

I'm in. Thanks. And you didn't even need us to screen him for you (maybe you should invite us on your first dates and we could save you time and anguish) :)

The RSVP came up odd on my phone, but as of today the days I can't do for this are: Sept 10, 16, 17, 19 and 20 (and please not the 18th! One night at home creates sanity). I really try to keep Sundays at home so if we can avoid those days too....
